Your journey begins with one of the main landmarks of Évora: The Chapel of Bones. As the name suggests, this fascinating interior chapel is completely designed with real human skulls and bones, and is located right next to the entrance of St. Francis Church.
Your next destination will be at the highest point of the city: The Cathedral of Évora. This prominent Roman Catholic cathedral was built in 1746 and offers magnificent panoramic views of the city and horizon. Later you will go for a nice walk in the heart of the city, also known as the old town. In this historic center, you will enjoy an authentic Portuguese lunch, and later make your way to the city’s Roman Temple. Also known as the Diana Temple in honor of the Goddess of the hunt, this majestic monument is one of the best preserved Roman temples in the Iberian Peninsula, and offers great views of the city as well.
