On this private full-day guided tour you will learn about Cork and Wine and visit Évora.
Portugal is the biggest Cork producer in the world, so you will visit a cork factory, learn about the transformation, and the final product. Here you can ask your million questions and demystify why wine breathes in the bottle!
Then we follow to a local winery, where you will learn about the wine from this fantastic region, for a visit, tastings and lunch (optional). This is a full wine and food experience that you will remember.
In the afternoon we will visit Évora, a UNESCO walled city, with a Roman Temple, Chapel of the Bones and a XII century Cathedral.
Évora was conquered from the Moors in 1167, by Giraldo (the Fearless). You will hear about him.
Later on the 13th century was the epicenter of the Franciscan Order in Portugal. On the 14th century a wall was built around Évora to protect the city. Since 1986, this museum-city is a UNESCO site.
