Faith restored in this unmissable central city of Portugal
Welcome to Fatima, a beautiful central city of great spiritual significance.

Today, and due to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, the city stands as the fourth biggest and most visited Catholic pilgrimage site in the world. This is mostly due to the testimony of more than 70,000 witnesses of the Blessed Virgin Mary appearing to three shepherd children in 1917 in a spot that is now known as “Capelinha das Aparições”.

On this iconic tour, you will first make your way to the Sanctuary of Fatima itself, where you can learn more about the history of the place and religion,as well as get spiritually rejuvenated by this renowned holy location.

Afterwards, you’ll make your way to the two churches within the sanctuary: Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima and Basilica of the Holy Trinity. Two gorgeous structures, the first being the tomb sites of saints Jacinta, Francisco and Lúcia; and the second being the fourth biggest Catholic church in the world with over 8633 seats.

Still within sanctuary grounds is your last destination, a calming area known as the Chapel of the Apparitions. This space witnesses yearly masses and frequent rosary prayers, it is in fact one of the most serene locations in the area, a place where you can sit back, pray and be grateful for all that we are blessed with.
